Zusammenfassung
In der Praxis spielen Lösungsmittelmischungen eine große Rolle. Mehr und mehr werden Mischungen von Wasser und wasserverdünnbaren Lösungsmitteln eingesetzt. Aufgrund der unterschiedlichen Wechselwirkungen mit den dispergierten Teilchen unterscheidet sich die Zusammensetzung der Lösungsmittelmischung im Einflußbereich der Festkörperoberfläche von derjenigen der Lösung. Die Bildung einer Adsorptionsschicht kann sich in zweifacher Weise auf die Stabilität der Dispersion auswirken Einmal wird die Van-der-Waals-Wechselwirkung betroffen. Ein Beispiel wurde am Ende von Kap. 2.5 aufgeführt. Zum anderen wird sich die Verteilung der Gegen- und Coionen zwischen Stern-Schicht und diffuser Ionenschicht ändern. Dieser Prozeß ist bisher kaum untersucht worden. Ein anderes Beispiel ist die Koagulation von Latices in 2-Butoxyethanol-Wasser, wenn sich Zusammensetzung und Temperatur der binodalen Kurve nähern (Grüll and Woermann, 1997).
