Zusammenfassung
Eine wichtige Anwendung von Regressionsmodellen sind die Prognosen zukünftiger Beobachtungen. Da im Regressionsmodell die x-Variable als bekannt vorrausgesetzt wird, erfolgt die Prognose von y mit Hilfe eines bekannten x-Wertes. Dies ist am leichtesten bei Trendmodellen von Zeitreihen, wo die unabhängige Variable die Zeit ist, durchzuführen.
