Summary
This paper introduces a classification of text analysis software. At first the definition of terms show the different meanings of the same terms used by different approaches. Especially the implications of the qualiative and quantitative approach in the research process are discussed. The software currently available is classified using the classification of Weitzman and Miles (1995).
