Zusammenfassung

Zeichen einer geschlechtlichen Entwicklung werden im Kindesalter spontan als krankhaft angesehen, so daß diese Kinder rasch in der Sprechstunde vorgestellt werden. Bleibt eine Reifeentwicklung zum durchschnittlich erwartbaren Zeitpunkt aus, entsteht bei Angehörigen wie bei den betroffenen Jungen und Mädchen selbst zwar weniger spontan, aber zunehmend das verunsichernde Gefühl, es könne eine körperliche Unzulänglichkeit oder gar eine krankhafte Störung vorliegen.
