Zusammenfassung
Praxisleitlinien zur Diagnostik und Behandlung von Patienten mit schizophrenen Störungen liegen u.a. von der American Psychiatric Association (1997), vom Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (1982, Andrews et al. 1986), sowie verschiedenen Expertengremien vor (Kissling 1991, Frances et al. 1996, Lehmann et al. 1998). Sie unterscheiden sich nicht nur in Form und Umfang, sondern vor allem auch in der Methodik ihrer Konsensentwicklung (vgl. Gaebel & Falkai 1996). Diese reicht von nichtformalisierten, wie Statements von Einzelexperten oder Expertengruppen, bis zu formalisierten Vorgehensweisen (Ellis u. Whittington 1993; Deutsche Gesellschaft für Chirurgie 1995, zit. AWMF 1995).
