Abstract
The Universal Spine System (USS) involves four basic concepts:

Independent anchorage of hooks and/or screws to the spine and independent rod positioning.

Easy connection between the anchorage and the rod.
-
Standardization and simplification of implants, which can all be handled from the top. No lateral nuts are used.

Segmental correction and stabilization.
