Zusammenfassung

Das primäre Vaginalkarzinom macht etwa 2% aller malignen gynäkologischen Tumoren aus und weist eine Inzidenz von 0,6 auf 100.000 Frauen pro Jahr auf. Häufiger als ein primäres Karzinom der Vagina ist ihr metastatischer Befall oder ein Rezidiv bei primären Tumoren von Corpus oder Cervix uteri, Vulva, Ovar, Urethra, Harnblase, Niere, Kolon, Mamma und dem Trophoblastgewebe. Das Vaginalkarzinom tritt vorwiegend im höheren Lebensalter auf (Altersgipfel um 60 Jahre).
