Zusammenfassung
Das primäre Karzinom des Peritoneums wird auch als serös-papilläres Karzinom des Oberflächen-epithets des Ovars, extraovarielles papilläres seröses Karzinom, „normal-sized“ Ovarialkarzinomsyndrom, multifokales extraovarielles seröses Karzinom oder papillärer seröser Tumor der Peritonealoberfläche bezeichnet (Killackey u. Davis 1993). Es wird angenommen, daß sich das primäre Peritonealkarzinom vom embryonalen Zölomepithel mit dem Potential der Müller-Gänge ableitet. Das primäre seröspapilläre Karzinom des Peritoneums kommt im Vergleich zum serös-papillären Ovarialkarzinom 7- bis 12mal seltener vor [Dalrymple et al. 1989; Fromm et al.1990; Killackey u. Davis 1993; Rothacker u. Möbius 1995].
