Zusammenfassung

Das Konzept der primär funktionellen Behandlung berücksichtigt die so-nographische Rupturmorphologie als Grundlage der Behandlungsstrategie. Voraussetzung ist der sonographische Nachweis einer kompletten Adaptation der Sehnenenden in 20° Plantarflexion. Bei bislang mehr als 430 Patienten (2% Rerupturate) konnte die Validität dieser Methode besonders im Vergleich zur operativen Behandlung nachgewiesen werden.
