Zusammenfassung
Aufgrund ihres ähnlichen chemischen und physikalischen Verhaltens ist die qualitative sowie quantitative Bestimmung der PGE sehr schwierig und aufwendig. Die Analytische Chemie hat in den letzten Jahren auf diesem Gebiet deutliche Fortschritte gemacht. Es wurden leistungsstarke Analysenmethoden entwickelt und optimiert, wozu elektrochemische, und atomspektroskopische Methoden zu zählen sind. Durch Interferenzen der Metalle untereinander sowie durch Matrixprobleme treten allerdings oft Schwierigkeiten bei der Bestimmung auf (Hees et al. 1998).
