Zusammenfassung
Die Platinsalzallergie wurde bisher mit Ausnahme der sehr seltenen cis-Platinallergic im Rahmen der Tumortherapie ausschließlich an Arbeitsplätzen beschrieben. Sieht man einmal von historischen Beschreibungen ab (Erstbeschreibung bei Arbeitern eines Fotolabors; Karasek und Karasek 1911), so sind aktuell ausschließlich Beschäftigte in Edelmetallscheidereien (einschließlich Laborpersonal) und in der Katalysatorproduktion betroffen. Grundsätzlich ist das allergene Potential auf halogenierte Platinverbindungen beschränkt und nimmt mit der Zahl der Halogenliganden zu (Cleare et al. 1976). Wahrend diese Verbindungen in Edelmetallscheidereien im Rahmen der Gewinnung aus Minenerz (Südafrika) oder des Recycling (USA, Großbritannien, Deutschland) im Rahmen des Scheideprozesses anfallen, werden sie bei der Katalysatorherstellung gezielt auf den Katalysator aufgebracht (sogenannte Imprägnierung). Daraus ergeben sich aufgrund des Produktionsprozesses sowohl qualitativ als auch quantitativ differente Expositionsbedingungen in Scheidereien und Katalysatorfertigungen. Die ganz überwiegende Zahl der Quer- und Längsschnittstudien wurde in Scheidereien durchgefuhrt (Tabelle 1). Durch den zunehmenden Einsatz von Platin-haltigen Automobilkatalysatoren ist vermutlich künftig auch in der Katalysatorproduktion mit einer erhöhten Zahl von Platinsalzallergien zu rechnen.
