Zusammenfassung

Es gibt eine Fülle von Behandlungsmöglichkeiten mit teils wohlklingenden Abkürzungen wie HIFU oder TUNA (s. Abb. 5-1). Alle neuen Therapieoptionen werden mit großen Erwartungen von Seiten der Industrie, der behandelnden ärzte und Patienten verfolgt. Im folgenden sollen die neuen Verfahren vorgestellt und mit den bewährten Techniken der transurethralen Prostataresektion oder den offen-chirurgischen Prostata-Adenomentfernungen verglichen werden.
