Zusammenfassung
Als Magen-Darm-Mittel werden verschiedene Arzneimittelgruppen zusammengefaßt, die bei Erkrankungen des Gastrointestinaltraktes zur Anwendung kommen. Es handelt sich dabei um eine heterogen zusammengesetzte Indikationsgruppe. Unter den 2000 am häufigsten verordneten Arzneimitteln gehörten 1997 94 Präparate zu den Magen-Darm-Mitteln (Tabelle 33.1). Diese unterschiedlich zusammengesetzten Arzneimittel haben einen Anteil von 89 % an den Verordnungen und 91 % am Umsatz im Indikationsgebiet. Sowohl in den Verordnungen wie im Umsatz ist eine Minderung im Vergleich zu 1996 eingetreten. In diesem Indikationsbereich sind z. B. Antibiotika nicht enthalten, die heute zur Eradikationstherapie von Helicobacter pylori eingesetzt werden. Ebenso fehlen Corticosteroidpräparate, die bei entzündlichen Darmerkrankungen angewandt werden.
