Zusammenfassung

Probleme in der Hygiene der neurologischen Intensivmedizin unterscheiden sich prinzipiell nicht von denen anderer Fachdisziplinen. Ziel von Hygienemaßnahmen ist hier ebenso die Verhütung von Infektionsübertragung auf Patienten sowie gleichzeitig Schutz von Personal oder Besuchern vor Schädigungen durch belebte und unbelebte Schadstoffe in der Krankenhausumwelt. Daraus ergeben sich neben einigen allgemeingültigen Grundregeln der jeweiligen Situation angepaßte Präventionsstrategien. Am Beispiel zweier Infektionserreger sollen die unterschiedlichen Ansätze verdeutlicht und im Sinne von Leitlinien für den Alltag umsetzbar gemacht werden.
