Zusammenfassung

Ein Polyp, ein sich makroskopisch über das Schleimhautniveau vorwölbender Befund, ist ein rein deskriptiver Begriff, ohne Hinweis auf das histologische Substrat oder die Dignität. Im Rahmen der Adenom-Karzinom-Sequenz, besser Dysplasie-Karzinom-Sequenz, kommt den neoplastischen Formen (Adenorne) eine besondere Bedeutung zu [3, 9, 11, 13–15]. In seltenen Fällen können Adenome auch sehr flach (flat-adenoma) sein.
