Zusammenfassung
In den vergangenen Monaten hat das Human Genome Projekt mehrfach in der Weltpresse Aufmerksamkeit erzielen können. Das Projekt steht kurz vor dem Abschluss und am Ende hat sich ein Zweikampf mit den industriellen Aktivitäten herausgestellt. Für die Menschheit ist es letztlich egal, ob C. Venter oder das Konsortium die Sequenz in wenigen Monaten vollständig präsentiert.
