Die Ausführungen in diesem Kapitel, vor allem zu den zukünftigen Potentialen der Informationstechnik, basieren auf Arbeiten von Dr. H.-J. Steinbock im Rahmen des Forschungsprogramms IM2000 am Institut für Wirtschaftschaftsinformatik an der Hochschule St. Gallen. Für weiterführende Informationen siehe (Steinbock 1994).
