Verfahren zur werkzeuggestützten Integration von Datenbankschemata

Zusammenfassung

In vielen Unternehmen finden wir heterogene Datenbanksysteme mit teilweise unkoordiniert gewachsenen Datenbeständen. Der unternehmensweite Zugriff ist kaum möglich. Die (teilweise) Integration dieser Systeme ist folglich von großer Bedeutung. Im Falle stark dezentralisierter Organisationen dient die Integration Koordinierungszwecken. Durchgehende Ansätze, die insbesondere auch die Integrationsreihenfolge und den Grad der Integration berücksichtigen, sind in der Literatur nicht zu finden. Im folgenden Beitrag wird ein solcher Ansatz zur möglichst weitgehend automatischen Schemaintegration vorgestellt. Der Integrationsprozeß wird dabei durch Kosten- beziehungsweise Nutzenparameter gesteuert.

Das zugrundeliegende Projekt wird von der Deutschen Forschungsgesellschaft im Rahmen des Schwerpunktprogrammes „Verteilte Systeme in der Betriebswirtschaft“ gefördert.
