Abstract
Infrared and optical measurements of correlated insulators, including Ce3Bi4Pt3 and FeSi, and of CePd3 are presented. We use reflectivity spectra to obtain conductivity as a function of frequency and temperature from low temperature to 300 K. Of particular interest is an observed shift of spectral weight from low to high energy, which occurs as the charge psuedo-gap forms.
