Abstract
The paper discusses risks of IT applications to Polish organizations.. The purpose of the paper is to present importance of risk analysis and suggest methods to manage risks. Observations of IT introduction to many organizations and assessment of IT projects are the basis of presented ideas. Foundation of a methodology for risk analysis and management is presented in the paper. Final conclusion is thin Polish organizations need methods to cope with complex risky IT projects. Key words: IT applications, information systems, IT projects, risk analysis.
