Zusammenfassung

Der Kopfschmerz vom Spannungstyp äußert sich durch wiederkehrende Kopfschmerzen, die Minuten oder Tage andauern können. Der Schmerz ist drückend oder ziehend, von leichter bis mäßiger Intensität, beidseitig lokalisiert und verstärkt sich nicht bei üblicher körperlicher Aktivität. Übelkeit fehlt, Photophobie oder Phonophobie können vorhanden sein. Früher verwendete Begriffe für diese Schmerzerkrankung sind Spannungskopfschmerz, Muskelkontraktionskopfschmerz, psychomyogenerKopfschmerz, stressabhängiger Kopfschmerz, gewöhnlicher Kopfschmerz, essentiellerKopfschmerz, idiopathischer Kopfschmerz und psychogener Kopfschmerz [1].
