Zusammenfassung
Der dem Griechischen entlehnte Begriff „Atopie“ wurde 1923 von Coca und Cooke [2] eingeführt. Dem waren Berichte von Cooke und van der Veer vorausgegangen, die urtikarielle Sofortreaktionen auf häufige Allergene bei Patienten mit allergischen Erkrankungen beobachtet hatten [3], E. Perry schlug daraufhin den Begriff „Atopie“ vor, der dann von Coca und Cooke in die Klassifikation der Überempfindlichkeitsphä-nomene aufgenommen wurde. Unter den krankhaften Überempfindlichkeitsreaktionen führten: sie die Atopie als dritte Form nach der Anaphylaxie und der „Infektionsüberempfindlichkeit“ auf. In der ursprünglichen Arbeit werden fünf Charakteristika der atopischen Überempfindlichkeit genannt
