Zusammenfassung

Der konjunktivale Allergentest (KAT) wurde von Charles Blackley bereits um 1870 zum Nachweis einer Pollenallergie benutzt [1] und Noon beschrieb 1911 seinen Einsatz zur Kontrolle einer Hyposensibilisierung [2]. Der Test verlor mit der Vervollkommnung der Hauttestmethoden in den 30er Jahren dieses Jahrhunderts seine Bedeutung, erfuhr aber eine Renaissance in den letzten Jahren und wird wegen seiner Einfachheit und Nebenwirkungsfreiheit heute sowohl in der praktischen Allergologie als auch in der Medikamentenprüfung und allergologischen Forschung wieder geschätzt.
