Zusammenfassung
Mit der zunehmenden Prävalenz endoprothetischer Operationen am Kniegelenk nimmt auch die Zahl der damit assoziierten Komplikationen zu. Zu diesen Komplikationen zählen auch die intra- und postoperativen periprothetischen Frakturen, die in Abhängigkeit von der Qualität des Knochens, des verankerten Implantats, der Fixationsart und der Art des Traumas hinsichtlich Lokalisation, Schwere und Ausmaß variieren. Das klinische Ergebnis nach diesen Verletzungen wird wesentlich von der gewählten Therapiemethode beeinflusst.
