Zusammenfassung
„Zeit“ ist ein klassisches und zugleich aktuelles Thema im Strategischen Management. Überall wird die These vertreten, daß die Umwelten immer turbulenter werden und es daher zunehmend darauf ankommt, „schnell“ zu handeln. Eine genauere Betrachtung zeigt allerdings, daß eine differenziertere Behandlung der Zeitproblematik notwendig ist. Der vorliegende Beitrag gibt einen Überblick über die einschlägigen Forschungen im Strategischen Management, in denen eine solch differenziertere Behandlung angelegt ist. Er zeigt aber auch deren Schwierigkeiten auf und entwickelt unter der Überschrift „Führung als Selbstorganisation“ einen alternativen, systemtheoretisch geprägten Ansatz, der noch einmal neue Perspektiven eröffnet.
