Abstract
Based on the simulation framework, the methodical specifications, and the hypothetical EMU scenarios discussed in part I, simulation results for the hypothetical EMU are scrutinized in part II. A three-stage process is required to work out simultaneous effects and their relevance for today. This section (section 5) concentrates on merelypresentingselected results. In section 6 the focus shifts todiscussingimpulses (shocks) caused by the hypothetical EMU, and to revealing causal connections between nominal and real variables. Finally, section 7 ponders onapplyingthe findings to the real world EMU.
