Keramik wird seit den 70er Jahren erfolgreich f7ür Artikulationsflachen beim Hüftgelenkersatz eingesetzt. Das Problem der durch Partikel induzierten Osteolyse kann so zielfüh5,13,16,21,23,24,28,29 verwiesen. Die Entwicklung begann in Frankreich und in Deutschland in den 70er Jahren 2,5.
