Zusammenfassung

Für eine Reihe von Krankheitsbildern des Hüftgelenks stellt die Magnetresonanztomographie (MRT) heute das diagnostische Mittel der Wahl dar. Trotz der damit überlegenen Darstellungsmöglichkeiten der Gelenkstrukturen und Weichteile bleibt jedoch immer noch das Na-tivröntgen der erste Schritt bei der bildgeben-den Abklärung von Hüftgelenkschmerzen. In diesem Beitrag werden neben allgemeinen Bemerkungen zur MRT beim Hüftgelenk die speziellen Untersuchungstechniken, typischen MRT-Morphologien und Indikationen zur MRT für die wichtigsten orthopädischen Krankheitsbilder dargestellt. Zum Schluss wird ein diagnostischer Algorithmus zur Abklärung unklarer Hüftgelenkschmerzen vorgeschlagen.
