verglichen mit der gesamtzahl gut- und bösartiger Neubildungen sind musulo-skelettale Tumoren eher selten. Weichteiltumoren treten mit einer Häufigkeit vin 1:100 000, Knochentumoren mit 1:200 000 pro Jahr auf [4, 37]. Aufgrung ihrer meist erheblichen Aggressivität und des breiten Spektrums der Differentialdiagnosen sind sie für den Kliniker von enormer Wichtigkeit. Da alle Gewebsanteile des Bewegungsapparates Ursprung tumoröser Entartung sein kännen, ergeben sich eine Vielzahl kilinisher, radiologischer und histologischer Befunde. Zur Diagnosestellung und Therapie ist deshalb die enge und intensive Zusammenarbeit der verschiedenen, mit diesen Tumoren befassten medizinischen Fachrichtungen essentiell.
