Zusammenfassung

Die posttraumatische Bewegungseinschränkung im Sinne der Gelenksteife (Ankylose) gehört zweifelsfrei zu den gefürchtesten Komplikationen des Ellenbogentraumas. Noch bis vor wenigen Jahrzehnten herrschte die Meinung, eine Gelenksteife sei für eine Vielzahl von Ellenbogenverletzungen nicht zu vermeiden. Heute kann durch ein multimodales Behandlungskonzept mit differenzierten rekonstruktiven chirurgischen Verfahren sowie adjuvanter medikamentöser und strahlentherapeutischer Behandlung in der Mehrzahl ein akzeptables funktionelles Ergebnis erreicht werden.
