Zusammenfassung
Die Diagnose von Läsionen des oberen Labrums und des Bizepssehnenankers war bis vor kurzem nicht möglich. Erst die Einführung der Schulterarthroskopie hat zu einem besseren Verständnis der Anatomie geführt und die Diagnose dieser Läsionen vereinfacht. Andrews et al. haben 1985 erstmals Läsionen des oberen Labrums bei Überkopfathleten beschrieben. Sie demonstrierten in biomechanischen Studien, dass wiederholte Belastungen der Bizepssehne das anterosuperiore Labrum vom Glenoid ablösen können. Snyder und Mitarbeiter haben schließlich den Ausdruck SLAP-Läsion (Superior Labrum Anterior and Posterior) geprägt, um eine ähnliche Läsion, die durch ein eher akutes traumatisches Ereignis ausgelöst wurde, zu beschreiben (Snyder et al. 1990). Die SLAP-Läsion schließt das postero-superiore Labrum und die Ausweitung nach anterior ein. Seit der ersten Beschreibung der SLAP-Läsion haben zahlreiche Autoren ihre Erfahrung mit Diagnose und Therapie dieser Erkrankung beschrieben (Burkhart und Fox 1992).
