Zusammenfassung
Die Höhe des arteriellen Blutdruckes im Kindesalter lässt keine starre Definition zu, da ein kontinuierlicher wachstumsbegleitender Anstieg des systolischen und diastolischen Blutdruckes stattfindet. Bei Geburt liegt der systolische Blutdruck im Mittel bei 75 mmHg. In der ersten Lebenswoche steigt er täglich um 1–2 mmHg an. Ein weiterer Anstieg um wöchentlich etwa 1 mmHg wird bis zur sechsten Lebenswoche beobachtet; danach bleibt der Blutdruck bis einschließlich zum vierten Lebensjahr konstant.
