Abstract
The authority of the EU in the area of transport policy has clearly increased in recent years. This includes the task of providing an efficient international transport network (Trans-European network). Fourteen selected priority projects are seen as especially important for the increasing unity of Europe. The above elaboration addresses the questions.
-
whether such a centralization of transport policy is sensible against a bankground of subsidiarity and fiscal equivalence
-
how to measure the developmental quality of the regions
-
what differences can be determined in developmental quality of the economic areas in West-Cenaral Europe
-
how these differences change through the implementation of the priority projects
-
what effects will these projects have on a wider area
