Abstract

The first phase of the new economy ended last spring with the crash of many Internet companies. Their business models focused on the “e” in e-business but were not viable and were unsustainable from a “business” perspective. Thus the focus was on technology, however now the tide is shifting with the only sustainable focus on the “Business” in e-Business. Old economy companies realized that Internet speed and one bright idea were not sustainable without profits.
