Zusammenfassung
N ach Stentimplantation liegt die angiographische Restenosierungsrate je nach primärem Ausgangsbefund (Gefäßdurchmesser, Stenoselänge, Ostiumlokalisation u. a.) bei 22-65%, die klinische Restenosierungsrate hingegen nur bei ca. 15% (Tabelle 7.2.1). Eine Restenosierung entwickelt sich innerhalb der ersten 3-6 Monate. Später auftretende Angina pectoris ist meist Ausdruck der Progression der koronaren Herzkrankheit. Die Restenosierung nach Ballonangioplastie kommt durch akutes elastisches „recoil“ negatives Gefäßremodeling und Intima-hyperplasie zustande [21, 32]. Die günstigen Ergebnisse nach Stentimplantation werden dadurch erreicht, dass Stents sowohl das akute „recoil” als auch das späte negative „remodeling“ verhindern. Restenosierung nach Stentimplantation kommt hingegen nahezu ausschließlich durch Intimahyperplasie zustande [11].
