Zusammenfassung
Obwohl die Parkinsonkrankheit zum Teil schon vor dem 20. Lebensjahr auftritt und man den Eindruck gewinnen kann, dass zunehmend mehr Patienten jünger als 40 Jahre sind, ist die Mehrzahl der Patienten doch jenseits des 60. Lebensjahres, wenn sie erkrankt. Das bedingt, dass viele dieser Patienten nicht nur Parkinson-krank sind, sondern auch andere weit verbreitete Krankheiten, wie z. B. Hypertonus, Diabetes mellitus, Kardiopathien, Prostatahypertrophie und maligne Erkrankungen aufweisen. Es ist somit davon auszugehen, dass diese Patienten aus verschiedensten Gründen intensivpflichtig werden können. In dieser übersicht soll aber nur auf Notfallsituationen eingegangen werden, die im Zusammenhang mit der Parkinsonkrankheit stehen. Einschränkend sei auch vorangeschickt, dass sich die folgenden Ausführungen allein auf das idiopathische Parkinson-Syndrom beschränken.
