Zusammenfassung

Die Häufigkeit des Klumpfußes beträgt in Mitteleuropa etwa 1–2‰. Obwohl sich die Medizin schon seit Jahrhunderten mit der Behandlung des Klumpfußes beschäftigt, ist die Ätiologie noch nicht sicher geklärt. Nach überwiegender Meinung ist diese angeborene Fußfehlform keine primäre Skelettdeformität, sondern das Ergebnis dynamischer Störfaktoren [10]. Neuromuskuläre Faktoren stehen dabei im Vordergrund [7]. Charakteristisch ist eine Verkürzung und Fibromatose im Bereich des medialen und dorsalen Kapselbandapparates, die durch myofibroblastenartige Zellen verursacht wird [8].
