Zusammenfassung
Ein erhebliches Problem in der praktischen Anwendung der Elektro-krampfbehandlung ist das nach wie vor schlechte Image der EKT in der Allgemeinbevölkerung sowie auch unter Teilen der Ärzte und Psychotherapeuten. Die Elektrokrampfbehandlung ist angstbesetzt und als Disziplinie-rungsmaßnahme „aufsässiger und renitenter“ Patienten zum Teil zu Recht in Verruf geraten.
