Zusammenfassung
Bevor bei erheblichen, ambulant therapieresistenten Wirbelsäulenbeschwerden operiert wird, sollte man eine 10-tägige stationäre minimal-invasive Intensivtherapie durchführen — es sei denn, akute gravierende Lähmungen zwingen zur sofortigen Operation. Meistens handelt es sich um Nervenwurzelkompressionssyndrome, hervorgerufen durch einen Bandscheibenvorfall, eine Spinalkanalstenose oder postoperative Narben.
