Abstract
Telework is not an isolated work process. Viewed in the larger context, it is part of the reorganization of work in response to new business opportunities. In the United Statestelecommutingbegan as a trip reduction strategy. It is evolving astelework, one form of the virtual organisation, which flexibly deploys workers where it makes the most sense to do so. With this reorganisation of the workplace new issues must be addressed to understand the impact on the workers and the corporate culture.
