Abstract
This article gives a brief summary of the work performed by the TNO Physics and Electronics Laboratory (TNO-FEL) on dynamics of aerosols in the marine atmospheric surface layer. The work was mainly carried out as a cooperative effort between TNO-FEL, Ecole Céntrale de Nantes (France) and Riso National Laboratory (Roskilde, Denmark), as described in De Leeuw et al. [1] over a period of 8 years [2–16]. The work has focused on a description of the aerosol life cycle in the marine atmosphere.
