Seasonal and Latitudinal Variations of Dimethylsulfide Emissions from the North-East Atlantic Ocean

  • Chapter
Exchange and Transport of Air Pollutants over Complex Terrain and the Sea

Abstract

Dimethylsulfide (DMS) and dimethylsulfoniopropionate (DMSP) concentrations in sea water have been measured during the Darwin cruise between Las Palmas, Canaries, and Barry, Wales, in December 1993-January 1994, the Belgica cruise between Bordeaux, France, Cork, Ireland, and Zeebrugge, Belgium, in April-May 1994 and the Poseidon cruise between Reykjavik, Iceland, and Lisbon, Portugal, in August and September 1995.
