Abstract

One of the overall aims of the EUROTRAC ASE project has been to study the transport and transformation of material across the air-sea interface. In this short contribution we try to briefly review the state of knowledge of the scale and effects of atmospheric deposition to the marine environment to provide a context for the individual EUROTRAC reports.
