Abstract
This section contains substantial mathematical derivations. The results — not the derivations — are crucial to an insight into fundamental aspects of the Newtonian theory of motion. The main result can be expressed in a simple and elegant manner, and the physical content of this important result is quite transparent (see Equation (6.36))
