Zusammenfassung
Die Arzneitherapie ist das wichtigste Verfahren zur Behandlung von Epilepsien. Maßgebend für die Auswahl von Antiepileptika sind Anfallstyp und individuelle Faktoren der Patienten (Alter, neurologische Störungen, familiäre Disposition), während die Krankheitsursache oder die pharmakologischen Eigenschaften der verwendeten Arzneimittel von geringerer Bedeutung sind.
