Zusammenfassung

Motilität und Entleerung des Magens werden durch ein komplexes Zusammenspiel verschiedener Regionen des Gastrointestinaltrakts beeinflußt: proximaler Magen, Antrum, Pylorus und Dünndarm. Nahezu alle Krankheitsprozesse, die im oberen Gastrointestinaltrakt auftreten oder diesen miteinbeziehen, können die Magenfunktion stören, ob dies organische Erkrankungen wie Refluxsyndrome, Ulkusleiden, Kollagenosen, Neuropathien oder funktionelle Störungen wie funktionelle Dyspepsie oder Anorexia nervosa sind.
