Abstract

The success of a surgical approach for the management of lesions of the middle third of the face, nasal cavity, paranasal sinuses, nasopharynx, skull base and especially the clivus requires the best possible exposure of the surgical field. This exposure should allow optimal direct visualization of the lesions, which are usually deeply seated.
