Zusammenfassung
Fall 1. Einer jungen Mutter fällt auf, daß ihr 3 jähriger Sohn erheblich schlechterlaufen kann, als sie das von ihrem 1 1/2 Jahre älteren Sohn her kennt. Der Hausarzt vertröstet sie mit der Vermutung, der Bub sei ein Spätentwickler. Als der Junge mit 4 Jahren Treppen nur unter Zuhilfenahme der Arme steigen kann, bringt sie ihn in eine Kinderklinik. Dort wird nach klinischer und elektromyographischer Untersuchung das Muskelenzym Kreatinkina-se im Serum mit 2300 U/1 bestimmt (normal < 80 U/1). Der Verdacht auf das Vorliegen einer Duchenne-Muskeldystrophie wird durch eine Muskelbiopsie bestätigt, in der die Anfär-bung des membranständigen Muskeleiweißes Dystrophin negativ ausfällt. Da die X-chro-mosomal-rezessiv vererbte Krankheit in beiden Elternfamilien unbekannt ist, handelt es sich wahrscheinlich um eine Neumutation.
