Zusammenfassung
Die Beurteilung der photobiologischen Relevanz ultravioletter Solarstrahlung für aquatische Organismen erfordert außer der Kenntnis ihres Eindringens in den Wasserkörper auch die Kenntnis der Penetration längerwelliger Anteile, die zwischen 390 und 470 nm den Bereich der reparatureffektiven Strahlung (RER) und zwischen 400 und 700 nm den Bereich photosynthetisch aktiver Strahlung (PAR) bilden. Der Abfall des photosynthetisch aktiven Anteils der Solarstrahlung auf 0,1% des an der Oberfläche gegebenen Wertes markiert die Grenze der euphotischen Zone im Wasserkörper und mit ihr den Aufenthaltsbereich der Primärproduzenten sowie der sich von ihnen ernährenden aquatischen Tiere. Im folgenden wird daher das Eindringen der Solar Strahlung in die Gewässer nicht nur für den ultravioletten Bereich (290 bis 400 nm), sondern auch für ihren reparaturwirksamen und photosynthetisch aktiven Anteil analysiert.
