Zusammenfassung
Die Störung eines Ökosysterns beruht auf veränderten räumlichen und zeitliehen Beziehungen der Organismen im Vergleieh zu ihren natürlichen Habitaten (Wali 1992). Beispiel für gravierende Störungen der ursprüngliehen Ökosysteme sind die ausgedehnten Kippenflächen des Lausitzer Braunkohlenreviers. Der Braunkohlenabbau mit Hilfe der Förderbrückentechnik bewirkte die Schüttung von äußerst inhomogenem Material. Das tertiäre Material wurde dabei an der Oberfläche verkippt. Das Ausgangsmaterial des Kippensubstrates besitzt zahlreiche für das Pflanzenwachstum negative Eigensehaften: extrem niedrige pH-Werte aufgrund der Pyritverwitterung, Benetzungsfeindliehkeit, instabile Bodenstruktur, starke Heterogenität, gestörtes Bodenleben, geringe Humusvorräte sowie Armut an pflanzenverfügbaren Nährstoffen (Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung 1994).
